Den Meetings
All cub scouts are placed into dens by grade as listed below:
- Kindergarten: Lions
- 1st Grade: Tigers
- 2nd Grade: Wolves
- 3rd Grade: Bears
- 4th Grade: Webelos
- 5th Grade: Arrow of Light
Each den will have a den leader who will schedule and plan meetings and activities for the den.
Typically, each den meets monthly and depending on their den rank requirements, they may go on additional outings to enhance their learning and get first-hand experience and/or become involved in the community.
During den meetings and/or outings, the scouts will learn and participate in different age-appropriate activities and experiences that will help them to advance toward the next rank.
Pack Nights
- Pack Meetings are held once a month, typically on the 2nd Friday of each month and are a great way to bring all of the dens together.
- Parents and siblings are always welcome to attend the monthly pack meetings.
- Typically, these meetings are themed and during these meetings, the scouts will play games, perform skits, learn about the month’s core values and receive updates on upcoming events.
- A full schedule of pack meetings will be available on the troop track calendar as well as on the pack 130 website (website updates are still in-progress. Stay tuned!)
Pack Activities, Events, Outings and More!
In addition to monthly den and pack meetings, there will be a number of events that will be scheduled throughout the year.
Scouts is a program that has a little something for everyone and while none of these activities are required, all are welcome, and we encourage you to join!
Some events are unique to the scout program and others are a way to bring the whole pack together in a more social setting.
Below is a list of some (but not all) activities that our pack may have a chance to participate in.
- Rocket Launch
- Pinewood Derby
- Rain Gutter Regatta
- Fall and Spring Family Camping Trips
- Pack Hikes and Campfires
- Mock Lock-In Event
- Participation in Local Parades
- Local Sporting Events (Ex: Wolves, Windy City Bulls, Boomers)
- Snow Tubing
- Bowling
- Movie Nights
*As events and meetings are planned, you will receive troop track emails which will include event invitations, event details and RSVP requests.
Please prioritize reading and responding to these emails and RSVP requests so that no important updates are missed, and your leaders can properly prepare for any upcoming events.
** For a complete list of upcoming events please see the pack 130 website or the troop track calendar.
